Hearing Enhancers

Can you hear people talking but struggle to understand what they’re saying? Enhancers might be the perfect fit.

If you find yourself hearing conversations but missing certain words—especially women’s or children’s voices—you may have high-frequency hearing loss. This is one of the most common patterns we see at HearBright. An Enhancer is not a hearing aid in the traditional sense, yet it is generally categorized as one. If you have a partial high-frequency hearing loss, you have the perfect hearing loss for this type of device. Enhancers selectively amplify the appropriate sounds without the loudness, prioritizing clarity over volume.

Key Features

  • Compact design sits lightly behind the ear
  • Thin wire blends into the curve of the front of your ear
  • Small speaker perches in the space of the ear canal—minimal enough to avoid obstruction
  • Open fit lets your ear “breathe” and avoids that plugged sensation
  • Custom programmed so each frequency is boosted by the exact appropriate amount
  • High-frequency enhancement is the focus—selectively amplifies where you need help
  • Low frequencies are unobstructed and flow naturally to the eardrum
